Sometimes, the greatest journeys happen in the smallest worlds. Meet Fernanda from Mexico City — a veterinary medicine student whose passion for bees is teaching her about power, purpose, and the beauty of fairness.
My name is Fernanda, and I study veterinary medicine with a focus on bees and the environment. Most people find that strange. But I don’t just study bees — I admire them. They’re small, yes, but they’re powerful. Without them, the world wouldn’t exist as we know it. They shape entire ecosystems, just like women do.
I’ve always been inspired by how something tiny — like a bee, or my own voice — can change the entire world.

People often ask me: Why bees? Why science?
The answer is simple — I want to help. I want to make things better. And I want to prove, to myself and others, that I belong here.
Today, as women, we have the opportunity to be part of incredible scientific programs — and to improve them. Every day, we’re showing that we can contribute, that our voices matter. Still, there are girls who think science isn’t for them. They’re told they’re too soft, too quiet, too small. But bees are small too — and they make the world possible.
Fieldwork can be tough
Sometimes I travel long distances, carrying heavy equipment — syringes, stethoscopes, boots for ranches, overalls, and other gear. I choose inDrive to get me there, because I choose safety, fairness, and peace of mind.
For me, a fair price is more than just a number. It means that I matter — my work matters, and my time matters.
To every girl who’s ever been told “this isn’t for you” — don’t believe it. Study what you love, go where you want, ask the big questions.
You don’t have to be loud to be powerful.
